Joined the Chaos Covenant, love my new fireball (glove is now +4 also). Next up is navigating the tree area as I know ash lake is past there. Should I join the Dragon Covenant? Not sure what the point of all these covenants is, I'm kinda spamming them for G.

Also, should I sell goods for souls to the new dude at firelink or offer them for demon titanite (and more) to the creature back at the undead asylum?

you can only be in 1 covenant at a time. The chaos cov is really only for a couple of extra pyro spells and helping solaire's storyline.

There are really only 2 covs you should think of joining
- dark wraiths: for pvp, you get to invade others and be a troll
- Sonlight cov: increases the range for pvp summons (you see more signs, and more people see yours) really good for boss fights/helping others

if you intend to try and save solaire, stay in the covenant until rank 2, otherwise go to the sunlight alter and join the sun bros.

as for selling stuff, you don't get many souls for items (there are a couple of instances where selling certain things give more souls (such as the basic soul items that give 200 can be sold for 500 souls instead) but most things will give <50 souls per item.

you can only trade 1 type of item that the crow wants, and its usually best to do so, you can get some great stuff from him.

Oh, just kind of the way things happen.

For instance, lady said some guy had new glasses, where as I was pretty sure he had old ones. I pick lie.

"YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS WEARING BECAUSE YOU YOU WERE AT THE SCENE!!!"

Whoa buddy, just trying to clarify the glasses here, not accuse someone of murder.
He just seems to get mad unless you select truth.

Yes! I remember that about the interviews, he went pretty hard on 'doubt' every time, even to innocent witnesses.

Thanks Revengous, I really never paid attention to Solaire's words so I haven't yet summoned him for a boss fight... should I have?

Loving my Chaos fireballs, great for farming Humanity and Shards in the Depths. Also now have Iiato Divine +4 hitting for around 250. Also went back and spanked Havel with my fireballs (and the Hydra near him scares the **** out of me, no idea how to fight it) as well as the two big knights in Undead Burg. Currently farming purple moss and considering a 5th run at ash lake, just keep getting cursed and only have one pledge stone left.

Also, Valley of the Drakes... worth it? I went in as far as the sleeping dragon and stole the stuff from in-front of him (how hard is he to kill?) but am too afraid to venture far as the Firelink Shrine is currently unlit and the nearest bonfire is at the bottom of blighttown.

If the darkroot basin hydra scares you, don't go into ash lake...

make sure you max that Iiato to +10 divine, the catacombs will be easy for you.

basalisks are easy, I'm guessing you can dodge ok now, move back and wait for them to do the breath in motion, then attack, dodge away if you are too slow, there's plenty of room where you fight them.

as for the undead dragon, he's easy, and you have pyromancy (undead are weak to fire)

if you approach him from the otherside of the new londo ruins entrance (as if you came from darkroot basin), you'll see a sort of mark on the ground - his acid attack (causes toxic) only goes to this spot, just wait and find the spot where it stops, time it right, run in and fireball him once and repeat.

what armour are you wearing? might want to upgrade/find some new stuff before sens.

Odric is kicking my **** in MtG on my iPad :/ he ends up doing 11ish damage per turn with all his **** creatures! Argh you ****!

I really, really like this game - anyone have this on Steam and feel like a match sometime? I'm a total noob, but it would be cool to play against someone live.

I've never played the actual card game itself, but for a bit of casual fun/gaming on the iPad or laptop its actually pretty cool - the tutorial is brilliant on either but I can't figure out how to block on the iPad.

I paid for the deck unlock, which I think is $0.99 per deck? And I'm still just using the red starter deck, whatever that is. But still, playing with someone would be very cool (as long as they don't repeatedly kick my ****).

I think my deck has too many cards, I keep pulling epic cards but no lands :/

Are you trimming your decks to keep them at 60 cards? My first time playing MTG was Duels 2012 & it is great to kill some time & have a quick game / unlock a few cards here & there :)

Enjoying 2013 so far except for 2HG where someone uses the 1 cast in one of the white decks & if you have 30 or more hp he becomes a 6/6 flyer. Of course with 2HG you start with 30hp so it doesn't make for a fun experience :(

Ah so I should try to keep my deck trimmed to 60 cards? With the unlocks I've added I'm probably closer to 75.. >.>

I used the buy it now option on the iPad to unlock all the cards from "Born of Flame" which is the deck I've been using since it was the starter deck, but I haven't got any of the foils etc. I'll do the same on PC I think :)

This game has got me seriously considering trying to find a local MtG club..

Yeah mate that is right, keeping your cards trimmed down to 60 gives you the best possible chance at using the cards you want & getting rid of the useless ones! I usually get a friend & unlock cards with them by them resigning the game a few times to speed up the process. I did that too much in 2012 & sorta killed the buzz of unlocking new cards all the time so I haven't done that with 2013, I'm just plodding along unlocking them slowly.

I've never played IRL, it sounds fun but to me also sounds like whoever can invest the most cash into their decks turns out to win more often.

Yea will do, I'm a noob too so we can enjoy each others company lol. I like the idea of the game IRL, maybe more along the lines of a couple mates who all are using some sorta starter build decks or something along those lines to even up the matches. I guess something like that would exist heh.

Sounds good I'll add you when I get home!

I reckon that would be the way to do it though, couple of starter decks maybe an expanion without having to go and spend hundreds of bucks on rare cards.
