I don't think I've had a single hiccup w/ ebay buying, minus the 1 extra week wait on a PSP game due to customs stuff, but that's unavoidable.

as for retail, wait till you work in Alcohol as either a bartender or a bottle-O worker. they're both equally terrible when it comes to customers. In saying that I really wanna swap my work at a bottle-o for bar work. Selling bottles is one thing, actually learning to pour and make cocktails is a much different thing.

Only downer is here, unless you're a C cup+ female with a slender body or a "hunk" of a guy, you'll get denied on the spot, even WITH experience. Ahh Newcastle area...

I've tried to get into it for almost 4 years now. Even unpaid work experience they wont do for fear of me injuring myself and suing them. What the hell could I possibly injure myself on? I do more risky work at the bottle-O then a bar when it comes to heavy lifting and glass.

we did some windows and doors for a business/builder over a year ago. it wasnt a huge amount - roughly $2500.
but after the job was finished, ive been unable to contact the guy, and his business never answered the calls/emails/faxes.
finally i decided to arrive to his "shop" (listed in current yellow pages)... which has since become a jewellers.
the jeweller tells me he has dozens of business arrive looking for the bloke, serving summonses and trying to get their money from this guy.
the jeweller clearly had had enough, and was willing to give me this guys home address (he lives nearby).
so i drive to his home - no one is there. I call his mobile AGAIN (probably the 300th call) this time to leave a message to tell him i am outside his house, and i will be back at 5am tomorrow morning.

i get a call back in 15minutes from the guy, profusely apologising and saying he will pay tomorrow.

Aesops moral: dont **** where you eat.

the more im hearing about this company the more people are coming out saying they are owed money. id like to warn other companies to steer clear of the snake.
