No it doesn't. The reason you get sent back there is that that's the last stable position of the game.

For example what if a piece of DLC wants you to go to the Citadel? How are you suppose to get there when the Citadel gets magicked to Earth after the Cerberus mission and gets pwnd as well?

That's pretty simple. They just wouldn't design DLC that sends you back to the Citadel. :)

Plus, Bioware have a history of ignoring dying things in their DLC. ME2 could have you killed off, but that didn't stop the ME2 DLC being set after the game. Dragon Age Origins could kill Leliana, but they still put her in Dragon Age 2 DLC regardless.

All they'd have to do if that was a serious concern was to say Tri-Colour Space Wizardry restored the galaxy and resurrected Shepard for a second time.

Just make the Shep waking up extra scene canon, continue from that point forward.

Spoiler tags, though I think by now we might be beyond that for anything about ME3 (well, maybe, better to be safe than sorry I spose!)

Yeah, I considered not doing it, but ah well.

Not that I'm completely for them doing this DLC, I'll certainly check it out.

Just remember to play multiplayer again for a bit to get your EMS up before playing through the EC... I don't think the game will remember what your score was.

If I need to get back over 5000 Effective again to do the DLC with the ending I got, I won't be overly happy lol

Or you could use a save game editor to hack your score. I might do that. Give the engineers I got from Kelly 10,000 points.

Yeah I'd probably do the same, I only had 3800 effective or so, so I'd need to do a bit of multi to get back to 5k

Another reason you play this game on PC, so you can alter your saves. All the console players are going to be forced into redoing multi.

It's not a bad multi game, but to do it now just as a chore to see the ending again is a bit meh.

Yeah, I enjoyed it for what it was at the time, but really I only wanted ME3 for the single player.

I might just play through the MP though. I don't really want to run the risk of any such hack being flagged by Origin as a cheat.

As crappy as the whole thing is, looks like I have five hours of work to do before I play the EC.
