Rumour: PC Version of Assassin's Creed III Will Release a Month After Consoles

According to eurogamer.cz, Assassin's Creed 3 won't be released on the PC until November 23, significantly later than the console release dates in October. Ubisoft have refuted the claim, saying that the date for the PC version of the game is yet to be decided. The game's Associate Producer Julien Laferrière was similarly evasive when we asked him about the issue at this year's E3.

What is up with Devs and leaving their PC ports till last? I'm sure it's not the "We're spending more time optimising it and making it better for PC gamers" which they appear to be feeding us at the moment...

A delayed PC game CAN be good but only if they work on making it a good PC game/port which doesn't always happen just like how buggy Batman Arkham city was on its PC release. If they genuinely happen to make it work better then sure go ahead but I get the feeling sometimes they do it just so people assume that they put more effort in.

I agree, if its genuinely used and comes out HQ, then fine. But it just seems like devs are putting consoles ahead of any other market. Most companies have all 3 versions running at the same time, so they all get a simultaneous release, rather releasing it 3 months down the track, when I can read all the spoilers, reviews, hints, etc.

Ummm, no. I'm not 5 nor kidding. Haven't you guys pre-ordered a game and just waiting to play it? Everyone gets their turn, but. But no one wants to wait when others get the chance to play it.
We can wait, but no one enjoys waiting.

Some people seem to have forgotten that the first two assassin's creed games came out after their respective console versions...

Hasn't the PC release of each Assassins Creed game been shortly after the console release anyway? and besides the issues some people had with the DRM, turned out to be solid ports? Either way, a month wont hurt.

Really wish developers would write for the latest hardware then strip the guts out of games to port them to comsoles.
Its much easier to create a good high res texture/model then just halve it/cut the polys down than it is to try and add polys or enlarge a texture...
And it looks better and runs better to!
Minumum hardware these days is ~ 4ghz i5, 560ti, 8gb .. why developers arent writing games with that as the minimum system requirements I'll never understand (well, I do understand it, but wish they wouldnt).

I have so many great games I've never played - and probably never will - that if another one of those potentially great games comes out this month or next it's of little consequence.
