Curt Schilling: ''38 Studios Employees Have Ever Right to be Upset''

Former baseball star and now former head of Kingdoms of Amalur developers 38 Studios, Curt Schilling, has said on Boston radio that employees of the studio have "every right to be upset". Curt admits to promising them two months warning if the studio was to close, and that he "bombed on that one in epic fashion" and left them "blindsided". Schilling also revealed that he invested more than $50m of his own money into the company, and that he "never took a penny in salary".

Actually Curt also managed to waste $75 million taxpayer dollars funded by Rhode Island.

It's fairly impressive how much money went down the gurgler with this venture, I mean that is some serious money they are talking there. What was it all spent on? is the question everyone wants answered.

It was spent on a big project made by an untested team. You generally don't want to try developing AAA games or MMOs (worse) if you've not got a track record.

This guy sounds like he just threw up his hands and said, you're right, I screwed up, I'm a huge hypocrite. I should have warned the people that this was coming but I didn't and, man, that sucks hunh? And I'm ok with Government helping me, but not other people. I'll stand up and fight to stop other people getting any help but if I'm offered help? Oh I'll take that money and ask for more!
