Is The XBox 720 Marketing Document The Real Thing?

Unread postby News Portal » 24 Jun 12, 10:18 am

Just a few weeks back, a document was leaked that purportedly detailed all the exciting new features for the Xbox 720. There was more than one cry of 'bull doody', but now CVG has made a detailed analysis of every goddamn page and consulted with a number of industry sources - during which they claim to have come across one anonoymous source who confirms that this document is the real deal. Microsoft have made a statement on the matter that doesn't really say anything at all, and you can see that along with the rest of the analysis over at CVG.

Link to an article posted a week back, in which the link in that article was taken down 4 hours prior to the story being published :pensativo:

Well, you see, sometimes we write news ahead of time, and then publish it in the morning! Sometimes this results in things like that happening, which is unfortunate. But all the details are still on the internet if you look for them ;)

Considering MS' law firm has been issuing take down notices to every single website that hosts the documents (including Dropbox), I'm gonna say it's legit.

An interesting read... If those really are Microsoft's plans for the X720, they sound extremely promising. Not a whole lot to criticise. It would have the power, and the DVR-functionality would be a plus for me, as I haven't got one. I'd like the AR-glasses, which would seem to be a step towards VR, sort of VR-lite. And I'd like the improved Kinect as well.
