Am I the only one who just simply doesn't care anymore? The ending is sh!t and no amount of expansion will change that, just like the entirety of ME3 was poor compared to the original. It's what happens when your writer up and leaves forcing some other guy to continue his story as well as what happens when you start a story without an ending in mind thus having you make it up as you go.

I think I'm the only person who was happy with my (Shepard's) ending. More content can only be a good thing :)

And...

Not at all. There's been as much constructive feedback as there has been whining. Things like original comics, videos, book projects, letters, and even tens of thousands of dollars raised for charity. All made possible because of the passion people felt about something. All of which added constructively to the world, regardless of what direction the devs took with this.

Enough people felt the game didnt have good closure that Bioware wanted to add more to the end, at least if the youtube video is to be beleived. Some people may not buy another Bioware game because of the lack of closure to the trilogy which the game was marketed as being.

The video says a lot of things.

Bioware have been quoted as saying in different interviews:

1. They are proud of what they made.
2. They were under severe time constraints and didn't get to put everything they wanted in (some of the team didn't get Christmas off which is how tight it was).
3. They wanted to improve the ending on their own accord - they want to make new stuff, and never saw it as a final, absolute end.
4. They like receiving constructive feedback.

When all those are put together, the position is a lot more rational than usually stated. They don't hate the players, nor are they caving into demand. Unfortunately, people usually just present one side of the picture.

Squeezing it into the 2GB xbox limit has got me a little worried.

+1 to hoping that the ending is far less terrible. Got my save game just before starting the Cerberus base mission all ready to go.

I couldn't help that think the entire way through that interview, the devs just didn't understand why we hated the ending, or they did but they just didn't want to admit to it.

People actually wanted to see how their choice affected the Mass Effect universe blah blah blah

No. It was just a bad ending that made no freaking sense.

Could someone explain to me what the worries are over the 2GB limit? Why would the expanded ending use 2 entire gigabytes of data? That seems excessive. I mean is the ending going to consist of like a tenth of the entire game now or something?

Personally I'm looking forward to this. I liked ME3. I respected the ending. I think this is a good thing.

Well, as someone with a pretty much perfect paragon playthrough who romanced Liara, I think I should have a sufficient share of the 1.9GB devoted to me.

Well they had already said before announcing it that it was on the 'to-do' list anyway. When they announced the EC, they simply said they were moving it forward on their production schedule in response to market demand.

Further backing up this point is the fact that when you ended the game and reloaded a save, you got sent to just before the priority Cerberus mission. This implies that all future DLC was meant to come into play between then and the ending.

And this is what this does.

Another thing supporting this point is that they've referenced things they were in the process of making that didn't meet the deadline. One in particular was showing what happened during the reaper invasion of the Citadel they said they needed to cut due to deadlines. And one piece of feedback they wanted to address is what happened here.

So if ME3 exists, then this must too. It's just something that's been in the pipeline for ages.
