Isnt it funny every splinter cell that comes out i really dont care for

It all turn out to be the same old ****. Born identity trash. Nothing silent op about it.
Ever since pandora tomorow and chaos theory the devs just havent interested me in the slightest. That game was on the original xbox and the graphics and atmosphere were amazing.

"You don’t have to kill anyone if you don’t have to,” he said.

They sort of said that for Conviction too...

what it actually ends up with in their vid was:
'flashbang everyone, run through like a burglar to the next section while the enemy is CC'd'

sigh...

This series died for me when i read that article with Convictions director saying they wanted to make the player feel more "Jason Bourne" or "James Bond"

This interview has changed that perspective...

..Not in the slightest.

Splinter Cell has options to cater to people who want to stealth? It's a Stealth franchise, it shouldn't just have the ability to "cater" to stealth players, that should be the norm.

I liked it better was Sam was a realistic character with slightly futuristic gadgets. He got through by thinking things through and keeping to the shadows. Now he's suddenly an unstoppable killing machine. Sure it's cool, but it's not why people played the previous games, they didn't need a new direction with an already popular and well liked series.

The main problem with Ubi games is they start out Tatical or Stealth (R6/SC/GR) and each next one after 2004/2005 it keeps on getting watered down for the COD4/console FPS generation because if its like the first games, its "too hard and too complex". EA are just the same . Recently looking at one of the BF3 trailers, it looks like COD4 nothing like BF anymore

Agreed. The game should force you to play stealthily, or at the very least make it hard to run and gun.

CQ DLC is definitely catering to CoD fanboys...

the Armored Kill DLC however... now that's the one we're all waiting for, tanks and planes galore, the way BF ought to be.
