Currently cruising through Act 4 with only 26k DPS, 28k HP, 230 of each resist and 2.3k armour as a Wizard.

I haven't bought a single item off the AH, nor have I farmed.

oh no, i don't mean you need to use AH...

i just meant that there was effectively no need anymore for me to actually play the actual game since it becomes more efficient to use everything i acquired in Act3/4 and use it as an investment for the AH, then snipe the bargain item and sell it in RAH, then repeat that between the 2 AH whenever i fancy it.

inferno frankly turned into magic find farming run since quite a while ago for me, by the time i overgear them... so the only single remaining draw for playing the game is to get better loot... but now i've realized i get far better gear with the AH/RAH for a tiny fraction of the time needed, which incidentally reminds me i should withdraw some of my Bnet currency out before i hit the cash limit so i can sell more things.

at the end of the day - that is what diablo is - have the best gear and smash other people in the face.

one thing about delayed pvp is there will be an even battle ground, and teh ah/ rmah will make sure this happens

welcome to diablo.

you can't withdraw battlenet balance to paypal currently. the work around is getting a friend to put up a trash item for $whatever with a paypal account, and then take the $1 + 15% hit.

Whats's Diablo again?

I block it out of my head, i can understand having an AH in diablo since items were always rare, but i have been farming act 1 inferno for 3 weeks now and have not seen a single item that is better then what i already have. Thank f%^k close quarters came out this week i was getting bored.

And to think i played D2 for years , i guess thats the problem at least in Diablo 2 you found items that were "close" to being better then you had.
You found drive to find a better item, in D3 i have NEVER seen an item better in game then i see on AH EVER, so what's the point of playing to gear up, spend cash level up WIN

Maybe it will change when patch 1.03 comes out but im over it, its become WOW cookie cutter builds cheap tactics or over overpriced items to win.

Yes i am ranting, but this game is a shadow of what diablo used to be

I recently started a new class and gave up the first 3 difficulties are a joke.
NO challenge what so ever inferno bar the ridiculous elite combos is the challenge i would've expected at the start

I miss running from mobs , biting off more the i could chew and paying the price. Diablo 3 is the game my friends girlfriends play because its EASY, they will never see inferno hell they dont even have max WOW toons.

Casual thats what its become

Sorry for the RANT but im going back to FPS's at least real life people offer a non cheap real challenge.

I'm getting over the game a little bit, I've ran countless Act 1 Inferno runs & can survive it well but the loot drops are just really whack. I've got 1 item which was an optional sidegrade & that has been it. I'm forced to use the AH to get any progression & for me that takes away the fun factor of the game.

Then again if the AH wasn't there it would have taken me many weeks of Inferno Act 1 farming just to be able to survive it. So I dunno bit of a double edged sword for me. Apparently 1.03 is supposed to fix up some of the loot drop issues so we shall see!

Yes it was. That's hardcore inferno, not regular.

Our barbarians who previously still get killed occasionally in Act3, are now effectively invincible...

whole gauntlet of arcane sentry, poison field, desecrate?

NO PROBLEMO! and we just charge through it, activate our Wrath of the Berserker and tornado everything, or hell just chop them down and don't even bother with sprint anymore. Herald of pestilence annoying tentacles? That tickles...

mortar elites? HA HA HA HA HA...

they still clip us with multiple mortar, except the mortar salvo do jack all nothing in damage now.

Yeah, i got a feeling that one way or another we might get nerfed...

Yeah I'm effectively invincible in Act 3 now on my Barbarian... can play it from start to finish without any deaths. I've dropped my HP and Armor by 20% each in favour of getting 40% more damage and I'm still surviving better than I did before the patch. It looks like they reduced the damage that mobs put out by nearly 50%. I don't even bring Wrath of the Berzerker anymore, because who cares about CC, even if you get frozen or feared into some AOE it just tickles.

So Blizzard decides to nerf the game by 50% in one fell swoops. Seriously? Couldn't they have done it by 20%, then tested it, then if necessary another 20%?

I think they've reduced the damage to almost a third of what it was before judging from the damage number we are seeing with the same defense amount.

But on the flipside, the repair cost (even just regular attrition from being hit, so not death) is so expensive now... at the end of a no death run, my barbarian effectively repair as much as multiple death in the previous version.

and our DH, repair cost was as much as a third of the previous version total wreck repair cost from a single death. His total wreck repair cost now was something approaching 40K...

yeah death is quite painful now...

and to further stab him in the rib, the IL63 gears are no longer dropping in abundance in Act3 or even 4.

Hmm interesting, I was under the impression that nothing changed here. They made it so these itesm have a 2% chance to drop in Act1, 4% in Act2 and the normal 8% in 3/4,

we've made roughly a dozen run or more now after the patch, and we're definitely not seeing much of IL63 at all compared to the previous version...

We see a LOT more of the junk low IL gears for sure, heck in the siegebreaker run the amount of junk low 50s gear is just overflowing that we effectively made town run every elite pack (which frankly is just annoying and slows the whole thing down.

it might actually be more profitable to just farm Act1, but Act1 is so dead easy now that some of our group members don't wanna do it since it's boring as all hell.
