Luckily my wand is a stock standard magic one with just really high damage.

Patch 1.03 now displays a timer icon for Magic Weapon... no more squinting at the weapon!

Mine's still at lvl 29... at the beginning of Act 3 of Normal :|

And she's my second highest level character ATM. Despite Uni being over... I haven't pumped that much more time into the game.

Damn straight, i was running around with a legendary staff "Broken Staff" which wouldn't even display the fiery effect. May have been broken :?

Though the repair cost are killing the fun/progress i only play for coop with friends now .... for how long that will last, anyone's guess.

My Mage tank is stuck on Act III Inferno.. can't heal through frozen combo's. Whenever I come across one (unless it has worthless other stuff) it just costs too much in repairs. Invulnerable stuff is also getting hard as well. Need something to get the progress going again. Not sure what though.

just finished getting my gear together for this, and I have to say it's a **** awesome build. only used it for 10 minutes so far and it's ridiculously fun. sitting in the middle of a massive amount of things spamming 4 skills.

it feels like it's fairly gear-based, what are your stats?

Finally reached lvl 30 with my wizard. Been aching to give Archon a try and I'm really not sure how I feel about it. The 15 sec duration and +1sec for every enemy killed says to me that the Archon is designed to take on masses rather than bosses. I'll have to see how much damage I can do/take as an Archon when I face my next boss. If not much, then I'll stick with something else that does ample damage to single opponents as my current skill set is working out well for crowd control.

Still, getting a defense and damage buff and switching skills for a few seconds does break things up. I'll have to see if it's worth a whole skill slot.

I have no idea what this player is doing here but it seems pretty broken to me:



I've decided to get rid of Archon and use Energy Armour instead (despite it reducing my Arcane energy at this time). Got rid of shock pulse as I'm now doing insane damage with a new sword and Electrocute and switched my other attack to Disintegrate for a bit of fun. With Diamond Skin, Magic Weapon, and Arcane orb with the rune that makes 4 orbs rotate around you as my other skills, it's a nice fun balance between defensive abilities, offensive abilities and buffs.

wow thats crazy! I just had a mess around with the calculator thing, and I would say he is using something like this:

Yeah, the crit hit chance must be insane as frost nova is being used every second pretty much. Based on my calc, without crit hits, the cooldown would still be about 6.5sec.

I wonder how good this build is against groups? Can't wait till I reach a high enough level to give this build a try.

Shock Pulse (Living Lightning) was nerfed so it doesn't crit well anymore.

This site has a good guide for building a wizard based on Critical Mass - http://www.windupwizard.com/

Thanks for the heads up that Living Lightning was nerfed. Seems every skill gets nerfed these days.

That site looks good. I'm just waiting to get Galvanising Ward so I don't have to constantly activate my Energy armour and also get some good life regen while I'm at it.
