No, we shouldn't have to spend more money just to survive later difficulties. It's only a game.

Hmmm, might give that a try next. I'll have to sell 60 items for 60 blizzard bucks but i'll get there eventually.

made $62.52 in blizz money off RMAH already. depending on how the IAS and inferno nerf goes, I'll either put it towards my monk or keep it for the wizard I'm making.

feels good man.

Well, my steady strikers have sold at $2.50... $1.50 profit isn't much but it's a start.

It's the 'legendary' status of the steady strikers that sells it. The specs are actually quite crappy.

I have only sold one thing out of 50 or so listed, I made $4. But that $4 bought me two 780DPS weapons which have allowed me to move on through ACT2 inferno. There are some massive bargains to be had and the best thing is people with $1.25 starts and $8 buy outs. The is usually no bidding war and you get it for $1.25

Thanks for the tip mate... can't wait till I'm high enough level to use something with 780dps.

ATM, I'm still using gear that's got 40 damage at most and my Monk has the higher overall DPS at about 400... shows how underpowered my Barb was when he finished normal at about overall 300DPS.

I "beat" the game as a Barbarian (Inferno Act4 done, trivial really) and then immediately retired my Barbarian and started playing my Demon Hunter with my friends.

I put my gear on the RMAH since I have no use for it anymore, and holy hell... just 4 items sold so far from my Barb, and I'm up to $190. They weren't even that special.

If my Demon Hunter beats Inferno I will probably sell her gear too.

Can someone confirm something for me (I don't have D3).

Is the money obtained\made from the RMAH money you can extract from the game.
Ie, if someone sells an item for $20, does it go into a paypal account or something? Can they take that money and go and buy their dinner with it?

or is it money that is locked into the Blizzard Universe. You can spend your real $$, but anything earnt within Diablo 3, can only be used to purchase things within Diablo 3?

You can take it out.

$20 sale = $1 taken by Blizz
$19 total.

Then I believe Paypal takes 15% on withdrawal = $16ish you get.

Wow.
So basically Diablo 3 is no longer just a game, its a viable career path?
Especially in countries with poor economic status.

Its slightly difficult with the random rolls on drops etc. But I could definitely see people in places like China making a living from it, yeah. Hard in a Western Country.
