For those whinging about DLC this and no mod tools that....

Build a bridge :)

Looking forward to some more tanky goodness! Also AC-130 is an awesome idea. Sounds like it will be just as much fun shooting it down as it will be shooting from it

Yeah the BF3 DLC should be free like BF1942's was.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlefiel ... ns_of_WWII

Criticisms included that the proportion of content to retail price was too low. In GameSpot's review of the game, it claimed, "However, considering how much it retails for, it probably could have offered more."[12] Gamespy listed as the con that "Some of the maps are clunkers; $30 is too much for the limited content here."

Oh that's right, the BF1942 DLC was actually more expensive that BF3's, my bad.

someone give this man a beer :P

if I remember clearly...DC had tanks, artillery (I think) and a big-ass C130 all playing in the desert. AK will have tanks, arty and a big-ass C130 all playing in the desert.

hmmm....nah, I don't see the connection.

oh yeah...I bought premium for AK as well...don't actually like CQ. If I wanted CSS I'd fire up steam and play CSS.

This looks great actually. I love BF3 but despite the number of vehicles in it, it's always felt to me like there's less of them. Of all the previous titles, i've never actually had so many issues getting a vehicle - spending so much time hoofing it.

I was actually thinking about BF1942 the other day - and how it's a shame we dont have that extra element of the ships in the game. I know many of them were not utilised properly, often boring because of it - but the epicness of knowing there were battleships, destroyers, hell even moveable aircraft carriers, was so awesome. Nothing better than shelling the hell out of a busy spawn point from a battleship, like the hill on Iwo Jima.

I wish modern games didnt seem to skimp on these kinds of things. The more options the merrier - including the BF2/BF2142 commanders. I'd like to see an expansion for BF3 that adds titan mode into BF3 - like you attack the enemies air craft carrier or some other key fortified position. It was so buggy, so laggy when they moved and a bunch of other things, but man Titan mode was a step in the right direction. If there's a BF2142 sequel (which i think i heard rumoured) i hope it comes back with a vengeance.

Extremely keen to play 2143, knowing what they know now (with how buggy moving Titans were) and with Frostbite 2.0, it would leave BF3 in the dust for me.

I still dream of PK rockets :-s

2142 wasnt perfect - but man i loved that near futuristic setting. Particularly some of those infantry heavy maps like the dusty orange one near the docks - freakin amazing times were had.

And Titan mode was before it's time. Launching attack pods onto a massive floating base and Star Wars style corridor battles? It was so good. Was just a shame that it was almost crippled by the lag when moving titans until they stopped their movement with a patch. I hope no pray they do intend on bringing it back if they do 2143.

I have heard amazing stories of titan battles, and ashamed to say I never played BF2142.

I am definitely looking forward to 2143 though :D

I also like the idea of an aircraft carrier assault. Maybe something like a Monte Cassino style assault UP a cliff face would be in order? So defenders start off in the area leading up to a large mesa style plateau. Upon reaching far enough you spawn a bucketload of choppers and the real fun because :D Aerial assault of the plateau fortress followed by tight corridor battles once a foothold has been established. That would be pretty hectic....

EDIT: Yeah I'm going to draw something up tonight...

Didn't like CQ at the start, but it's growing on me.

Been playing HC, with C4 - oh god its fun. Waiting for a squad to come through the doors and BOOM!

Had a few enemy's spot me last night and they turned around once they knew i was waiting for them to enter the room

Highly recommend the L86A2, it mows the enemy's hard.

Also, cannot wait for Armoured Kill, because really that's what BF is about.. the vehicles.

Hopefully the AC130 is two seater!

I think their DLC looks very interesting. Could it be they're listening to their customers?

Not unless they have a hearing problem where it takes them months to hear what people are asking, then another month to address it if they even bother to.
