Real Money Auction House Now Live for Australians

Unread postby News Portal » 13 Jun 12, 11:15 am

Australian players of Diablo III are now able to access the Real Money Auction House, due to our inclusion in the 'Americas' region which went live overnight. To ensure smoothness and stability Blizzard are only rolling out parts of the service at a time, so for now trading is limited to equipment only, with commodities to follow at a later date. Players are being encouraged to be patient as the service irons out its kinks in these early days.

lol people have been patient since release day waiting for them "to iron out the bugs" This will just make it even slower to squash important bugs..

maybe they should be patient while I pay them only partial payment of their game with the rest to follow once the final patch goes live. :P

I do not like nor would I ever use this Real Money Auction House. Hacking peoples accounts is even more profitable for gold farmers now.

Did Blizzard even fix the gaping security holes in their authentication system before launching the RMAH?

Generally, A game needs to be good enough to warrant a Real Money Auction House. Diablo 3 is definitely NOT good enough to warrant it. If I could play without 250+ ping lag then maybe it'd have some small measure of goodness, but simply put the game lacks depth, the storyline is **** and there's no real reason to grind inferno difficulty.

Of course, that's just my 2 cents worth (and being that there's no long 2 cents in australian curreny we can either round up to 5c or round down to nothing)

round it down. the game is great. mind you, i'm not even up to nightmare yet. :P

i havent even checked out the gold-AH yet. kinda going with the single player mentality, what i find is what i use. End of story. Am yet to be punished with server maintenance either, i guess cause ive only had about 3-4 goes totaling less than 10hours game play.

So I take it you guys have never tried to do inferno with 250-400 ping as a monk? I can solo half of act 2 with my wizard before some of it smashes me to the ground repeatedly, thats with 30k+ dps and 32k hp.

Blizz is only doing this to cash in on farmer anyway. Most of the items will be bot ground or sweat shopped by poor **** Asians paid cents per hour and sold legitimately by the mobs they work for. Since you have to grind/farm to get the gear to be vaguely ready for higher tier games, it's not like grinding is going to be suspicous.

There was plenty of real money trade in DII and Blizz didn't get a red cent of it. They've fixed the system this time so that they do...

I'm unsure on what the problem is. The entire reason Blizzard put in the RMAH was because of all the 3rd party people supplying said services in D2. This gives people a "safer" avenue since it requires an authenticator to be attached to their account.

The above was only available in D2 online, and is available only online in D3 (Since there is no choice). Ping is irrelevant to the idea of RMAH.

I am currently on Diablo in Inferno and had no problems getting there. If you can't play on a 200-250 MS ping, you got bigger worries because any game hosted outside of Australia comes with the same problems.
