I wasn't that impressed after the first 2 Acts tbh, thought the graphics were uninspired, the whole blacksmith leveling was a waste of money (oh, i have to level you a few times to get past the items i CANT equip, to get to the ones i can? And then if i do buy something from you with multiple magic properties half of them are ****?) and playing co-op i was disappointed you couldn't also hire a follower. I also can't believe the amount of items with the stat +XP which i see wayyyy more on items than anything else! Many people I've talked to didn't even realise there is Elective mode, as this didn't seem to be mentioned in the tutorial, and if you've ever played an ARPG before (which i think the majority of players would've) is probably the most important part of customising a character.
Having said all that, now I've finished on the first difficulty, i am enjoying it a lot more. I like how they introduce some different things on the subsequent playthroughs (other than just better loot/difficult mobs), and i think the later levels look really great. Hopefully by the time Torchlight 2 is out, I'll have played through all the difficulties with the chars i want to, and be ready for something different.
The only real bug I've noticed (which happens frequently) is in co-op, when you 'inspect' your friend to have a look at their equipment, sometimes nothing shows up. Have definitely noticed ping going up and down, but it's been manageable for the most part.
