I agree. I' actually imagining my city to be all refined and in order, but true enough that when someone builds a city beside yours and don't actually think mind building a better one, you're doomed.

I imagine there'll always be benefits... like improved trade and revenue from neighbouring cities. So if they're douches, just use some of the extra money you get to buy more police.

One of my main concerns with the new one is cheating or more to the point; lack of cheating. While I like micro managing my city for a while, eventually I would load up one of the trainers and pile up as much money as needed and go nuts. I would pause the game, plan out the entire city and then un-pause and watch my city evolve (and occasionally destroy something just for a bit more fun :D ). My concern is that with the multiplayer/connected cities Maxis will want to stop this “cheating” to make it fair.

I would have preferred a less “Sims” style of graphics but if the gameplay is good then I’m sure the graphics won’t matter.

"Maxis is going for more of a wider approach.." that's what really happening in SimCity. I would like to play this game exclusively but it seems like there's more fun when you work with other city owners.
