Went to a memorabillia store and saw a mount/print of the Terminator movies, signed by the cast of Terminator 2.

Sooooo tempted to buy it even though it costs about $1000.

I also don't have a soundcard, would the effects of a decent 5.1 or 7.1 deadset be lost because I don't have one? I'm a nub when it comes to sound in gaming. :P
I've pretty much used speakers and a desktop mic as long as I can rememer.

I'd recommend getting a decent pair of headphones like those above and trying them with onboard, if you have a mate with a soundcard take your headphones and music over to his and try it out, see if you notice the difference.

Thanks for the suggestion. :)
Been reading up on these most of the morning and I'm pretty much sold. Most Google searches for a decent headset contain people recommending these headphones, I think I might end up ordering them this afternoon, along with one of these:

Either way, had a relaxing day and did some maintenance on my car. Did my first solo oil change without any help and succeeded without stuffing up, making a mess or losing a screw. Feels good.

Also bought a new gear knob.

just had an awesome troll idea, but alas it is too late...

when the 3fl merger was announced we should have gone to their forum, written down a whole heap of usernames and then make accounts here under those names.

muahaha!

Not sure the point... Don't 3FLers just post in the one thread and that's it?

It's not particularly interesting, but if the merge went the other way and we went to their forums you'd still want to be revengous right?

Idea: make dummy accounts using their old usernames here before they make their new account = they can't use it.

EDIT: just a fleeting/random/thought lol, not some plan I'm looking to carry out or anything :P

So today I decided to attempt to address the issue of the non working heater in my ute, which is a bit of a **** given that it's already snowed here this winter >.< So I did some research on the internet, and the most common theme for the heater blowing cold air was low coolant.

Right, I know what the coolant is! So off I go to check the coolant levels. I'm no rocket scientist, but I gathered this is bad:

Image

The coolant level was so low, that there was zero coolant in the actual coolant..holder, and only some in the pipe that connects to it. Had not noticed any rising of the temp gauge, but that may just be because of the cool climate here and the fact 99% of my driving is short trips.

Oh well, I better go to Supercheap and buy some coolant, but since I'm checking the coolant I should check the oil too, right? 1/4 full >.< No leaking on the cement where I park, so no idea whats going on there.

So I spent my day flushing the radiator, checking the oil filter/oil and also changing the air filter. I wish I'd taken a photo of the air filter, it was jammed up with dust and insects, there were half a dozen bees, a few wasps and a lot of gunk..

Feel like a mechanic and my heater works!

I bothered to change the battery in my car today.

Seems everyone's involved with cars this weekend somehow.
