Next Gears of War Revealed as 'Gears of War: Judgment'

That shadowed GameInformer cover about the next Gears of War game has resolved itself as "Gears of War: Judgment". Two variant covers have been revealed, one showing Damon Baird in shackles and the other Cole Train, in the same situation. Click here to check them out.

Does not compute, though maybe that's because I haven't played GoW3. I thought they weren't making anymore GoW's after GoW3. :S

It looks like a prequel or something to me. Cole has hair, and looks younger. And after GoW3, there ARE no locust left to fight.

The original trilogy is finished, as Epic said it would. They never said they were finished with the GoW universe however.

More than likely this will be the start of a new trilogy set around alpha squad in the events leading up to the first trilogy. Rather than focusing on alpha-five (Marcus + Dom's original squad during the pendulum wars)

I for one welcome this news. Assuming it comes to PC and some of the issues with the first trilogy are fixed. Hopefully the storyline is a bit better as well. Whilst I didn't mind GoW3 and how it finished it off, the first 2 games were a bit weak in the story area.

Microsoft publishes GOW so why would it be coming to PS3? And given GOW hasn't seen a PC release since the original why would you think there'd be a PC release for this either?

Yeah has to be a prequel unless the Locus some how managed to survive but then theres no more Myrrah or Prescot so if it was post GW3 theirs no one to run the show. Questions, questions, questions???
