Happens more often than you'd think, and is probably the reason grenades aren't taught at Kapooka anymore (I know for a fact that it has happened there several times in the past). It's a recruit thing. The transition from civilian to soldier can appear hopeless, but later into their training and with some experience someone who may seem like a lost cause may turn out to be a fantastic soldier.
