Thats excellent. Hopefully he will have more success than I've been able to.

http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/ <--- hopfully all the information needed. I think Hydra will need a copy for fsx, or at least the sdk as it requires sim connect. (90%) sure

thanks v4moose, was just reading about that on fshost forum; the readme that comes with fshost doesn't mention it.
If Hydra doesn't have the sdk then I should be able to organise a copy for him, this may take a day or 2 but does look promising.

and Mearehear pat yourself on the back, it's the community that makes these things happen admins are just the facilitators.

cheers :)

http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/help.html#start

im not sure if that was the guide you were referring to. But there's good information in there if not.

In any case at the moment I can't find any reference too it either. I'll keep digging, definately remember reading it somewhere.

EDIT: easiest way to test my theory - i just chucked the FSHost server on my lappy. Seemed to boot fine :D

that's interesting, I tried to install fshost at work earlier today and I got an error message which I searched and came upon this thread at fshost which explains that the sdk is required for fshost to run.

I've passed on that info to Hydra so hopefully we'll be able to get this going in the next few days.

cheers :)

Hello,

Can someone with FSX give this a go:

fsx-1.games.on.net:23456

This is just a bog-standard fshost install with only fs2004/fsx enabled.
