Other than that, it's actually pretty cool.

That, that so much.

anyone else find the auction house a bit retarded? most items are retardedly over priced, then you get the occasional one that isn't... i wish people weren't so money hungry.

^ exactly, asking 1,000,000+ on items that are level 25?

I sell everything starting at 5k, with a buyout of 10k/50k if its really good.

it works well, I get a decent income from it.

I've got some absolute bargains on there tbh. I just put 5-8k in the max buyout box (depending how much cash I have) and filter out all the stupidly priced stuff.

Still plodding along in nightmare, just cleared the fields of misery in act 1. Had to alter my build a bit now, gone for a full aoe / self heal build & works beautifully. I alter it slightly on bosses though. Having a ton of fun!

edit: As barbarian that is.

I started into Nightmare with my Barbarian but will probably have to do a little bit of backtracking to gear up some more. Things taking a lot more killing and things are hurting a lot more when they hit.
Seeing some item properties pop up that I didn't in Normal though, which is pretty cool. Wouldn't mind a decent weapon with the percent chance to freeze things, for instance!

I found an amy with +140 dex +60 int, went to the auction and looked at similar - everything was 50k bid 150k buyout

put mine up for 5k bid, 40k buyout, gone in an hour.

spent it all on a single bid for a new weapon

In Diablo 2 the optimal stat allocation was enough str/dex/int to equip gear, then vitality all the rest.

So unless you followed a cookie cutter build you were gimping yourself.

The main 'difference' between D2 characters was those who were gimped and those who weren't because they googled a build.

There's a bit of that in D3 with some must-have skills needed for survival, but otherwise is a lot more combinations.

Just got to Nightmare over the weekend. I think this is where the game starts proper for us gamers. As some have said, Normal appears to be just a casual playthrough. For those who already judged the game from the first few bits of the game (and I remember some from beta going on and on about it being too easy), maybe there's a reason you're not a game reviewer.

Lovin' nightmare though, makes more sense as the elites/rares are now actually tough with more traits. Can't wait for Hell... man... why do I have to work.

anyone else having trouble with the auction house?

I had a bid on a sword, now disappeared from current auction and my cash is no where to be seen - not too fussed about the cash, but it was a really good sword, theres nothing on the auction house that compares to it right now

Happened to me too. A few people on the official forums posted that they got their items after a few hours. I'd just wait and see if you get it, as you probably will.
