RAM used to be ridiculously expensive, now it's next to nothing.

It depends on what channel it is (2,3,4),how much memory on one single stick and its rated speed or latency.

i think ddr3 is just cheaper in general...

but having said that its increasingly hard to find lower timed modules, everyone settled on C9/1600mhz as a standard and hence all the C6/C7 kits are like hens teeth...

also since ram mhz doesnt impact on overclocking as much its no longer a huge deal.

This.

RAM used to be one of those things that needed a decent spend on it for your PC to be any good. Used to be something you'd budget a few hundred for.

Now you can spend $75 and it's typically more then enough.

End result:

I replaced the stock fans with more powerful ones with LED's (other then the front one, as it already has LED's) and put in a Fan Controller too :)

So it's got:

3x 200mm CoolerMaster MegaFlow Red's (110CFM at 19dBA).
2x 120mm CoolerMaster Silent Red's (90CFM at 19dBA).

I also attached one of the 120mm case fans to the other side of my CPU Cooler (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?mai ... s_id=18670) as it comes with a bracket and I thought why not haha.

It's super quiet, I'm pretty happy with it.

Nice case tho mate, i wish i could go back to case lighting... so far i have the eerie blinking E from my mobo and thats it... but i have come to hate light in the bedroom at night.... if i move into a place with a study i will for sure be modding a bit more :P

hows all the hardware pulling together... and the installation into the case go ok? loose much skin or not?

Only put in the fans haha. Somehow I grazed by knuckle, but all good :P

Went together pretty well and is running pretty sweet :)

Cable management wasn't too much of a pain, just wish there was a bit more room behind where the mobo mounts to hide cables a bit more, but ah well :)

The Fan Controller definitely is a must to run all the fans though.

Re: Light at night - Because it's a gaming rig, I turn it off at night anyway. I leave the server running 24/7 but that's hidden away :)
