What is your favorite Tower Defense game and why?

Mine has to be Orcs must Die. Got to love those arrow walls and lightning bracers.

I've found it hard to get into the Tower Defense games, but I guess the one that I enjoyed the most (not that I have played many) was "Defense Grid: The Awakening".

No real reason to give for it other than lack of playing many others.

I suppose I am the opposite I love just sitting back and watching my defense shatter the waves of oncoming enemies

Yeah I do enjoy that side for awhile, and in small doses I could find them interesting, but then I get a little bored with them. That said, they are good fun for those moments where you want something a bit simpler, and just relax playing.

Yeah the thing that brings Orcs must Die above all the other TDs that I have played has to be the fact that it forces the player to take a more active roll in the game. There are some places where if you aren't there ready to defend you get face rolled by the mobs no matter how many structures you have up

I love TD games. When its quite at work I tend to play flash based ones on the web. I enjoy most and lets face it, there are some really well polished free games around but I have spent the most time playing the Gemcraft series. Really good gameplay with a lot of complexity as well as a solid RPG system. Every games site offers online saves now which is really handy if I end up on a different PC.

One of the more interesting TDs that I have played is the gem TD in the SC2 mods where you are given five gems each round but you can only choose to keep one and the remaining four get turned into your wall that channels the mobs around the map.

Kingdom Rush on iPad is awesome, it's definitely one of the more strategic TD games i've played. I think it's available on other platforms too, not sure.

The only TD games I've played are Plants Vs Zombies and Defence Grid. Both are quality games but Defence Grid is the one I still play occasionaly.

I think I like it mainly for it's pacing.

Sanctum is a very cool take on TD especially in co-op. Anomoly is also very cool.


I think PVZ is King though.

don't really go for TD that much in general, but most recently I've had a good time with Ninja Town on DS and Radiant Defence on Android.

The latter is quite good, I've only just started playing it and the tut and first levels are really easy but the presentation is fantastic.

Any other good droid suggestions?

Dungeon defenders is probably my favourite, but it's not a pure TD game. Sanctum is also a lot of fun.
