Its been fine for me as well though (should I tell them that?) as soon as I get home from work I log straight in.

Just pm me your details, I can hook you up with another free 3 months for free. Just be sure to include all your credit card details, your social security number, what days you won't be home, where you hide your backup door key, how hot your girlfriend is...

Yeah that makes sense. I've actually noticed today that speeds seem to pick up around then, or at least it was for me. I got home from work at around 1300 and started play, latency was in the orange for most of the afternoon. Lots of rubber banding and carrying on. The evening latency is usually green and nicely playable though...

Down for maintenance.

SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE - 05/17/2012

We will be performing maintenance on Thursday, May 17th. Maintenance will begin at 5:00 AM PDT and conclude at approximately 7:00 AM PDT. During this time, servers and many web services will be unavailable.

Thank you for your patience.

In other words, down until midnight. Great thanks. Wonder how often this is scheduled maintenance is going to happen?

There was a message in game that they were installing a patch, its not "scheduled maintenance".

So it's unscheduled maintenance then?

Actually I would call it an emergency change with outage during the change window, but that's just me.

I assume the whole "maintenance/patch install during Australian peak times" and "we need Australian servers" argument has been raised over, and over, and over from people speaking from past experience with WoW.

This a whole new experience for me dealing with Blizzard...can't say it's been brilliant so far.

Wait, what is this 'Australia' place? Is that somewhere in North Dakota?

As an interesting note.. it was ONLY the american servers that went down.
Europe/Asia didnt.
Asia was overloaded and you couldnt connect.
Europe was 550-600ms ping, rubber band.. but I made an enchantress and started over :P
