Get embedded in the wound when you go for a slide up the road. Well, that's what my mate who rides semi professionally said at least.

I think he's pulling your leg.

Really? I don't understand what hairs have to do with infection.

I always assumed it was for streamlining and/or to prevent irritation from the spandex - shows what I know. :)

Its basically so when you have a wound, the area isn't filled with hair as a potential* infection risk. Plus in the event you need surgery, they have to wax the hair off the area anyway so it makes it A LOT easier on them.

*Not saying it'll happen, but there's always a possibility.

That too, which I find hilarious when I see a hairy bloke doing the Iron Man Challenge: REAL IRON MAN HAS HAIR EVERYWHERE!

i wish i had the time for that Chooklet :(
as it is, getting at least 2 runs in a week, been alternating between hills circuits at Tennyson dunes and running the stairs at Marino/Hallet cove (for the adelaide peeps) which has been good. trying to get back to lofty, did it for the first time on anzac day and went up in 32 minutes so wanna get that below 30.
also when the Anytime Fitness branch at Findon opens, i will have a few gym sessions thrown in too. just not getting to the gym after work - too busy as it is. so the ability to work out at lunchtime again is a godsend :)

what exercise do you do neko? just curious
there is nothing wrong with working out everyday, as long as you allow your body time to rest

Can't say I've ever heard of anyone getting it from exercising to much.
I'd bet willing to be that if the guys competing in the Crossfit championships don't get it, no one will.

Does typing count as excercise?

But seriously though, I've probably spend too long lurking the Couch thread to take cultfit seriously, even though it's a lot less retarded than it used to be and half the boxes are just doing 5/3/1 or westside and a WOD every other day.

Cracks me up sometimes to think that the majority of @fitters these days probs have no idea about all the crazy and retarded **** that went on because they're only exposed to their own box. Of course that's not to say that there aren't still tards out there putting middle aged women in hospital with kidney failure after a single workout, I don't know how it is now but the injury forum on the HQ website used to be almost the ultimate form of entertainment.
