Do we have to turn this thread into one of "those" threads?

From what I've read, NVG's only spawn up at the NW airfield in the 2 military bases there :?

I've also read that and I can tell you it's either total **** or some kind chap decided he didn't want his and dropped them perfectly on an item spawn down south.

lol warefare players have the ability to pin point enemy base by just using vehicle dust trails.

Hah! I have my own little html coded cheat page I load up each time. It's got the map of cherno and the loot cheat sheet, except I replaced all the links to pictures of the buildings, with pictures of the buildings. Whole thing is only like 16mb and cause it's offline it loads pretty fast. I might eventually make map annotations as to what kind of loot can be found where, it'd give me something to do.

Slightly off topic, I wonder how long until/if there will be a DayZ: Takistan. Would that even make sense? I remember Takistan having a lot more enterable buildings, but I don't think the terrain was as good overall, it was sort of.... unrealistic.

I am just amused that Pandemic Legion from Eve just declared war on a MilSim Clan - they real have no idea what is coming to them.

It would be a long trek to get any water in Takistan but I suppose most people would just drink all the soft drink left around.

I'm confused as to how that will work with no player names, "just kill everyone" is hardly a war.

On most servers, if you put your crosshairs over a player you can see their names. Normally in a hardcore setting you'd want that turned off, but I think in this game it's kind of necessary, it's next to impossible to tell people apart otherwise. Even with the addition of lootable skins in the next patch, there are only so many. I think within a certain distance you should be able to ID people.

PS. Takistan, lacking in the shopping centers and such, would probably have a lot less findable food and soft drink. With the scarcity of water, and a lot more ammo, it could be a unique map to play on. A hardcore mode if you will.

I never understood the need to "cheat" in a game like this. UO was same, youngsters couldn't deal with competition so they speed hacked an warp hacked while abusing everyone they killed by doing it. If you gonna play a game like Zday that's meant to be harsh, using third part maps an "cheat sheets" seems to me to be a little bit laughable. But I guess each to their own.

whats it like getting on the Aussie servers, I cant get in till Thursday but I ma hoping I dont have to play on an RU server or something.

As speed ninja said dont turn this into "one of those" threads. but I wouldn't worry to much about PL, they are not what they once were.

Aussie servers are chock full most of the time. Get a lot of americans that don't want to play in darkness joining, too.
