I had a few D3 issues but very few all in all. Spent most of the night gatecrashing friends games :P

First end of semester exam down, two to go.

Kinda sucks having the very first exam on the very first day of the exam period.

picked up 6.5m lengths of alum from our supplier.
loaded it onto the ute, not hanging to far out the back or front.

off i go driving back to the factory.

policeman pulls me over, lights a flashing.

says my load is too far out the back. he gets out his measuring tape.
its 10cm to far at the back, so i move it forward.

he then says "a bad load fine is $455 and theres a lot of paperwork for me and i have to come back to your company and follow up etc"
me - "ok".
"so im charging you with using your mobile phone, which is $341 and less paperwork".
me -"do i lose demerit points?"
"yup -3".

didnt want to argue with the bloke or he'd choose to defect my ute, perhaps acuse me of assault and up the ante.
grrrr.

Any tickets written out by an Officer or any charges laid by an officer MUST include the ID number of the officer. This is in the event that someone pleads not guilty and they need the charging officer to appear in Court to give evidence. If the guy didn't write his ID on your paperwork, take it up to the OIC at the station.

Really sucks watching something minor blow way, way out of proportion. 3 people being put through the wringer over something so trivial it's not even worth mentioning. On the spot "just quickly fix that" would have suficed, now its a fortnights worth of paperwork and processing plus consideration for further action because one supervisor wants their last who-harr before leaving. No idea how I slipped the noose, but it's almost as painful to watch. Feel very sorry for them.

Been having a debate in the office about what doughnut is better - Strawberry filling, or Custard filling. I'm all for custard, but then I thought hey, I'm new here, so lets see what others think... best doughnut?
