Computer upgrade for my 'home office' machine! I've got a Lian Li Red 'AMD Dragon' case, so it's about time I put some AMD parts in it!

From PCCG:
AMD FX 4170 4-Core Processor - $139
Corsair Hydro Series H60 CPU Cooler - $99
G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB DDR3 - $59
ASUS Crosshair V Formula Motherboard - $259
Gunnar PPK Cobalt / Snow - $49
Image

From ebay:
Gunnar Carrying Case - $18
Image
Camera flashes really show up how dusty everything is. I will have a good chance to clean while the home machine is offline!

Still getting used to the responsiveness of a mechanical keyboard vs my old Razer lycosa (worst keyboard i've ever used btw)

+ also got a Zalman clip on mic cos my old one died. Now my headphones aren't working.... :|
Bloody windows7/xf-i forte issues....

Every time I see a white backlit Ducky, it makes me semi regret my BlackWidow purchase.
I love my BlackWidow, but white backlighting is just so nice.

Yeah its a nice keyboard.

After all of the issues I had with both the Lycosa and the Mamba 2012 mouse I have, I vowed NEVER to buy another razer product. I'm glad I chose the Cherry RED switches, as I reckon the black switches would be a bit fatiguing comparatively.

I quite like the blues, but if I had the chance again, I'd probably go for browns. The same feel but a bit quieter. I have to say on the Razer topic though, I've not had a dud myself, though I've avoided stuff that's had widespread problems. Currently using a DeathAdder, Blackwidow, Goliathus, Orochi and Kabuto and they've all been great. Had a Copperhead a few years ago I think, I didn't like it since it didn't fit my hand too well, but my brother has been using it for yhears without issue. Maybe just luck.

Got this today

Picked up 3 games today at Game for a buy 3 get the cheapest one free deal plus I had some credit for them that I wanted to use as well.

LA Noire (PC)
Brutal Legend (360)
Professor Layton and the Last Specter

Professor Layton kind of sealed the purchase as it was on sale $14 down from $50 (though that ended up being the free one :P ).

really? I woulda thought that was right up your alley and you'd have it already lol.

Really? What makes you say that? I'm curious because i've never really sat down and thought about exactly what types of games I like though sometimes I have thought that I may be an indie gamer at heart.

Dunno about shock resistant, but they're made out of something special.
I use my MLG Phantom Gunnars for shooting. Decent enough :)
Depending on what kinda shooting you do, you might be better off with a wider lens-viewing-angle-thingy, like most shooting glasses offer.
