Should be enough slots if you play during the day. Past 3pm it gets a bit hectic, but we now have 100+ slots, with another host going up probably tomorrow. Just FFS, stop telling all your friends about it :)

Tempted to jump on the bandwagon but I think I may wait for a couple more iterations yet. I'd like there to be something to do other than find better guns in order to find better guns (That seems to be the gist of it all from what I read and see on youtube videos).

There was one near some docks on the east coast. I forget what town I was in, think it's about halfway down the coast..

Is there a way to play on the beta server without fuxing my client for the normal servers? Today everything under 300ms was 100% full but the beta server was on only 15 players.

with arma beta patches, they dont fsck up the game if you want to play normal games, you use 2 seperate exe files
(or if you use a launcher you just add the beta patch to the command line)

Boats are pretty easy to find, that is when vehicles are working. AusArmA was assigned new server ID's on Wednesday night, so vehicles haven't been working since then. Hoping DayZ guys will fix this by tonight, but at least it should be fixed once and for all.

I quite like the PvP part of it actually. Keeps you on your toes. Unfortunately my only PvP experience so far has left me severely handicapped the last few days (eyes blury because of bloody loss and can't find any animals to cook). I like though that when entering a town you have to consider both military and zombie apocalypse tactics at once to get through (or in my case, stumble half blind into the smallest town you can find).

The threat of other people is the best part of the game, tonight a friend and I were watching NW airfield and watched 2 bandits leave, they had actually seen us but ran a big loop to watch the hangars, luckily they couldnt shoot for **** and when they engaged we both got out, caught one of them in the neck full sprint as he made for better cover and his mate pussied out and logged.

Feels jittery man, guy must have been hella pissed, he was pretty much fully geared.

Bought Arma tonight just to play this :)

Screwed up testing the controls and used my drink and bandage early.

Night time so game was really dark, had to jack up the brightness, everything was shades of grey.

Got attacked by 3 zombies and spent the next hour walking around with blurry vision, hungry and thirsty whilst trying to find something to cure my vision, but couldn't see a damn thing lol.

Turned of post processing and that fixed the blurriness.

Found a nice rifle, some softdrinks and bullets, then got attacked by about 10 zombies.. died and ragequit :P

Wonder if my gun is still there.

Had fun though, and was very tense ehehe
