A recent post on the official [url]BioWare Blog[/url] has shed some light on the lengths that the company goes to when attempting to create respectful, credible same-sex romances in Mass Effect. "I worked hard to create a character who addressed her lesbian identity in a positive and intelligent way," said Patrick Weekes of his creation, Samantha Traynor. "Not one word was written lightly," added Dusty Everman, who wrote Steve Cortez. "Some players have concerns over being 'ninja romanced'," he said, "where a relationship shifts from friendly to romantic to the player’s surprise – and those concerns seem greater for same-sex romances."
