You can put me down as a reserve if there is a lack of other reserves. CSS is not a strong point for me, but I'll have a blast at it, if it helps keep the team numbers up.

I don't see a problem with hostage maps for competitions? I remember hearing they're not used since hostages are kinda buggy but really we're not playing for money so that shouldn't reallly be an issue. Any other reason it's not used?

i didn't pick the maps and didn't get a say (if i did it would be de_season, de_tuscan and de_frost)

but i can think of a few reasons why it didn't get picked: yes hostages are rather stupid and buggy, T side can just kill the hostages and cs_ maps all have 1 objective area as opposed to de_ maps always having at least 2

The maps were chosen as they are default maps and they are easy with everyone knowing them. Keep in mind some people do not play that often and we are only here to have fun yeah :)

While I would love to hit up season and a couple of others sticking to the basics for now is a good idea :icon14:

Hm. While you could disallow the killing of hostages, why can't the killing of hostages be a legitimate stratergy? If the T's don't want to watch the hostages they could kill them and suffer the financial loss (assuming we're playing with limited money), or the CT's can kill an unrescued hostage to win etc etc.

As for 2 objectives, not sure what you mean. On hostage rescue they both have two objectives.

CT:
Rescue hosties
Eliminate T's

T:
Defend hostages
Eliminate CT's

T side just has 1 player kill all the hostages every round and then they spend the rest of the map hiding causing a timeout which is a T win and CT get $0 for the round

And i mean 1 objective area such as bombsite A and bombite B which are usually on opposite sides of the map, on a hostage map all hostages are usually together and if they aren't the CT side still has to get to them all anyway
