I only have a pre-aztec joystick (logitech wingman). Pedals would've been sweet (as well as trackIR) but I didn't play the game enough to justify the purchase :P

Do you have bs2? Are bs1 / bs2 multiplayer compatible? I'm assuming no, but if they are should play a mission :3 Unless I've forgotten everything that is. Still mad they expect you to pay $20 for what is essentially a patch with a few graphics improvements.

They're a small company and probably required funds to continue the development of the Mustang (which is looking awesome).

Worth every cent for what they bring to the table imo.

And I'm unsure if 1 and 2 are compatible.

The Mustang is a beautiful plane, an absolute joy to fly; I've been flying the first beta this weekend and you soon learn why it's called the mustang, twitchy as, you breath on the rudder pedals in level flight with the hammer down and it bucks into a spin which is crazy fun to get out of but if your under a 1000 ft you plough furrows.
Even this early version is good quality and they have already released another beta client which should be up on the gon mirror early next week.
Definitely worth the $40usd

and Bs1 and BS2 are not compatible; but BS2 and A-10c are and so will the mustang once BS2 and A-10c are patched into DCS World.

cheers :)

My copy of FSX Gold arrived on Thursday, so have been enjoying having my first flights in that and seeing all it has to offer, which is great considering it is an older title.

Even though the scenery (default) isn't all the exciting to look at, the fact I can fly any where in the world is a wonderful bit of fun. I actually didn't know before hand that it includes a representation of the whole world.

Why would people pay money for Microsofts new Flight title, when for about $30 you only get Hawaii and 4 Aircraft. Whereas $27 got me FSX Gold with a great selection of aircraft, and the world to explore, and it doesn't look that much worse than their new title.

So far have enjoyed a few simple flights, such as from my home town of Bunbury, then landing at Busselton, and a few over Perth. It's great flying and recognising the coast line as you go.

Also a little go with a chopper circling the Fernsehturm over Berlin. :) I'm enjoying it a lot (despite my newbieness to flight sims).

Oh my god those recent Miss Fortune buffs, her abilities are worth casting again! She's no longer sh!t! Feels good man, haven't played her since she was overnerfed last year but now I can play her again as she was like the only ranged carry I enjoyed playing back in the day besides Tristana who I just got bored of eventually (I play on-hit Teemo now as well however). It just feels good man and I needed to say it.

Just make it so that only champions can break her passive and she'll be perfectly golden I think.

@mclaren7703

Just wait until you start doing round world trips in 747's or the airbus a380. Amazing birds to fly. I took disco up on an 747-800 when we were multiplaying and gave him a fly of it. He handled it quite well considering he's barely done any flight time.

Fair enough didn't think they would be. Anyway brought out the ol joystick which was dustier than Uluru, although for some reason it reads the slider inverted. Cue surprise when trying to take off :dodgy:

Surprised I remembered most of the controls, only thing I forgot first try was switching between mounted gun / vikhr missles or rocket pods. And raising landing gear but AI reminds me of that :P

I bet! I was just doing a little joy flight of New York in an Ultralight, and while I was up there I got to watch a 747 (AI) on approach and landing, made for a nice sight! Is another feature FSX has over the new Flight game, AI planes going about doing their things.

If by handled it well you mean I almost rolled the thing..twice, haha. It's quite difficult to turn those things without angling so far..

It was very cool though, my limited gaming time has been spent with Sniper Elite V2 at the moment but my shifts should return to normally after this 8 day stretch and then I'll get the odd day off, so will get cracking with MFSX then :D

Also, best thing ever.. I landed my Cessna first go, first landing and it was successful..then I sat and watched cyclobs coming into land and said "It'd be hilarious if you crashed and I didn't..."

Guess who forgot to put his landing gear down..

indeed. And ATC. FSX is better then flight in all aspects really.

There are tons and tons of mods and plugs out there you can get that will improve fsx even more then ever. Once you get the hang of flight i suggest grab your self a demo of FSpassengers

http://www.fspassengers.com/

Fantastic addon that simulates having passengers on your planes and allows you to manage your own airline company. i've sunk many many many hours into this addon alone

That looks interesting and certainly would add new reasons to get into doing proper flights. I'm amazed at the amount of mods, and addons, out there for FSX, free or paid, there seems to be an endless amount of work.

I think I will be focusing on the default content for the months ahead, working through all the missions and taking time to learn the ins and outs of procedures/navigation/instruments and such. After that, the wealth of addon content is going to become very interesting.

There's nothing that Flight does that FSX doesn't do a lot better. Different genre's entirely though.
