Tempted to check it out, but I won't be getting many new releases this year so I have to save for the best titles only :(

Enjoying replaying GRAW 2, just love squad based combat. Makes me wish for a new Brothers in Arma.

Also, ArmA Queen's Gambit, goddamn it's so hard. Just the second mission in Armed Assault tasks you with infiltrating a tank platoon to destroy some armour... just you against AI without NVG's that can spot a blade of grass out of place from a mile off. Think I'll just skip the side missions and go through the main plot, at least I'll have support. I really do like how the objectives from the side missions blend in though... anyone got a decent walkthrough? The BI archives are a dog's breakfast.

That's not Queens Gambit is it? That's the base ArmA campaign. Been a little while since I did that mission but I think it goes something like this:

If I remember correctly, there's a hill overlooking the compound where the armour is and spare rockets in the boat that drops you off. Keeps two mags for your rifle and stock the rest of your inventory up with shots for the launcher. Sneak up onto the hill and blow **** up from whatever cover you can find as quickly as possible, then run like the ATO's after you back to the boat as bullets land all around you. I seem to recall something about secondary objectives to do with camps in that mission as well, but if you're accurate enough when engaging the armour then doing a quick 180 and loosing off a rocket or two towards those should do the trick.

Stealth tip: if you keep to pretty much right on the waterline the AI shouldn't be able to see you because of the shape of the ground. Get as close as you can to the hill before making your way up, and peak over the top from prone to scope out the positions of the targets. Crawl back a little so you can crouch and get out your launcher before popping back over the ridge to engage.

I saw that and was sorely tempted, but I think I've got my plate full with MFSX at this stage .. although it would be cool to fly a plane with guns!

Plane with guns? PLANE WITH GUNS!?!?

God damn, I've done several now, they're so damn gruesome.
Not only that, but also aim for holstered grenades on their hips or in their hands mid throw.

Keeping slightly off topic, but with the A10/GAU8..that's one gun you don't want to be on the receiving end off.

Finnaly got arround to playing sniper elite demo..
Took me 3 shots to realise the windage guage was actually your push, not a wind meter..
Got to the next setup spot, thought trap.. setup a tripline... aaaand crashed the game.
Pitty to, was having fun.. shot the first other sniper through his scope from the back of the building at other end of road.
Kinda reminds me of the chopper shot.

GRAW 2 on PC is so different to the Xbox version.. and so much worse :-/

On Xbox you can order your troops to 'go there', 'attack', 'regroup', 'heal', as well as switched between recon and assault modes. On PC, the overhead map is fantastic, but keying up commands and executing them is a PITA.

Still, fantastic fun either way, it's a lot harder on PC too which I really appreciate (even elevated risk on Xbox is quite easy).

Yeah GRAW1 is fantastically fun, and quite a challenge! (sadly its a "the world is brown" generation of game though)

D'oh, I actually didn't :P Anyway.. I was agreeing with him then :D

I've never played a GRAW game, they just seemed to miss my radar completely.
