The real point is that you have to know what you are looking for when buying second hand, it make no difference if it's Cash Converters or the bloke down the street. People try to pull outrageous stunts no matter who's selling. Buying second hand does take practice, I've been doing it all my life, and yeah, I got some dodgy deals along the way, but I've had dodgy new crapus too. Live and learn.
