Have some stuff to trade, mainly after a Strange Rocket Launcher, Strange L'Etranger and Strange Your Eternal Reward. Would gladly trade multiples of the below items of one of these. If you don't have the above, taking metal offers for any of the items below. Whatever's fair, not too fussed. Also looking for Crate #33 and Salvaged Crates!

  • Strange Axtinguisher
  • Strange Eyelander x 2
  • Strange Gloves of Running Urgently
  • Strange Jag
  • Strange Jarate x 2
  • Strange Knife
  • Strange Liberty Launcher
  • Strange Mad Milk
  • Strange Sydney Sleeper x 2
  • Strange Diamondback
  • Strange Bat
  • Strange Quick-Fix x 2

I was under the impression that buds were worth more than bills...

Vintage Bills there Ralph ;)

Trading community likes to come up with insane and downright-retarded prices.

Not bad. But I might just hold onto it when I get it.
Got a RL mate who used to play who has 2 v.bills (from the 640~ total in existance. Not bad!) and I might buy it off him.

I want a Strange Huntsman.

I have the following Strange weapons I would be willing to trade: Back Scratcher, Bushwacka, Direct Hit, Razorback, SMG, Big Earner, Boston Basher, Eyelander, Bonesaw, Stickybomb Launcher, Syringe Gun.

Someone must have a Huntsman they don't want? :)

Have you tried a trading site Mythor? And are you willing to pay market price? I hang around trading servers a bit and have never seen a strange huntsman being offered, but I picked up a Strange Grenade Launcher and Medi Gun by trading metal/hats/stranges.

I thought everyone who preordered L4D2 got a bill's hat, and wouldn't they have all gone vintage? If so that number 640 seems very low to me.

I think it was a glitch which happened randomly, hence why fewer people have a vintage bills. There's also speculation that people who asked Steam support to restore the hat after accidentally deleting it had it restored as vintage class. But that appears to have been debunked by Steam.

Its not just Bill's, a number of hats released after the vintage update have shown up vintage as well when they're not supposed to.

No, and I'd rather not go to a trading site. People in-game last night were quoting 14 keys for a Strange Huntsman, so I'm not real eager to pay that much. ;)

The problem with the strange huntsman is that it only appears in the level 40 crate which are rare by themselves.

I got a 40 crate the other day but the only thing I really want out of that is a strange huntsman as well but there is a lot of other stuff in there that I have no desire for (strange mantreads? seriously who really wants them?) so for me the crate unopened is worth more. (Plus my luck sucks.. I got 3 flare guns in a row trying to get a strange flamethrower/backburner.)

I would like a strange grenade launcher but looking at the tf2 trading post Level 40 crates are going for about 7-8 keys whereas Strange Gren Launchers can be traded for about 3 keys plus some refined.

It's just a better option for me to hold on to the crate for now.

Edit : Just traded for a GL just then... :P

I have 4 Strange Backscratchers I think. Bit annoying.
I imagine they'll add the Huntsman into another crate series eventually... :(

I wondered if Valve would do that like they did with the rocket launcher and sticky launcher. But they'd risk deflating the item economy and it may put people off from being involved in the trading game.

Bickety's three flare guns is a perfect example of choosing between random chance with keys, or paying a set price and knowing what you're getting. Don't forget there are traders out there who are happy to accept metals, hats or other stranges rather than keys. That's how I got my S. Backburner, Medi Gun and G Launcher.

Edit: what did u trade for the S. G launcher bickety?

I don't know that they care about the trading economy, more their income from selling keys to people? ;)
