On dirt, it is AMAZING. With a difficulty factor of 100 out of 10.
On tarmac it has it flaws, but who plays rally for tarmac?

Nice vid mclaren.

I've still got a copy of RBR floating around (I still consider it to be the best rally sim....ever)

Does the latest mod allow the game to be played in 16:9 ratio properly?

I know there is a FOV fix as part of RSRBR mod, and im sure it can be downloaded by itself. Setting your resolution can be done in the RichardBurnsRally.ini file, but then you need the FOV fix to match things to the aspect ratio.

Ive just downloaded my new purchase of it and just waiting on my serial number, then I will start setting it up again, so can post more about the screen res stuff then as I do it. I do remember getting it looking perfect in the past.

Ah, there ya go. I tried changing resolution with the ini file a while back but noticed the FOV was messed up.

Cheers.

Well I've had a chat with the publisher for Richard Burns Rally in Australia, it's well and truly gone.

Finding a retail copy or re-release isn't going to happen . So that leaves ebay! And I'm alright with that :).

I can't host the files here  and for most racing sims i'd prefer a physical copy if possible :icon14:

I've updated the OP with my conditions ;)

i played a little little bit of RBR back in the day, with a joystick (push up for fast!)

I've just skimmed your post cas...is this a competition? OK TIME TO BAKE A MEAT CAKE!

in any case - i'll buy a copy on digital download when everyone is ready...and someone may need to walk me though the mods and stuff we need to get it running well?. :D

loving this newfound enthusiasm from the GON community for sim racing. :D - about 6 months ago when I racing was the rage it was good - but unfortunately i didn't get a chance to race with many of you (due to the limitations of when are where you can race with everyone having different content)

so in RBR multiplayer? is it 1 on 1 racing? or wait your turn and race? or a free for all?
Hit me up on Steam!

You'll never see anyone on the track. The RSRBR mod (hosted on GoN - see link in Cas' post) pretty much allows multiplayer timetrials so we can definitely compete.

But seriously, there is no racing game harder to be competitive in than RBR.

Great driving;

RBR Drifting (stick with this past the Skoda)

EDIT: Cas, GoN only hosts the RSRBR 2012 Track Pack and not the rest... be a good lad and see to that would you?
