Bingo! And most of those games will never be natively playable on the Linux platform because of DirectX and .NET. Developers are not going to rewrite the entire game to satisfy a small community of dedicated users.
While Linux is growing, it will never become a top player for the consumer market because of developer behavior on both sides of the fence. Linux developers still, after all this time of trying to convert Windows users, have not come up with a viable solution - Ubuntu, while relatively easy to use, doesn't work with most hardware configurations, without hacks. In fact, the most recent version that's in development nearly fried my laptop because of 12.04's bugs, and both versions of the 11 branch only give a black screen until you change several flags for the boot loader.
.NET and DirectX games and programs are easy to develop, and larger projects can be achieved in a smaller time frame. Sure, we'd all be better off if those games and programs were developed in a lower-level programming language, able to be compiled for any operating system, but development time would increase significantly - when that happens, costs increase, and we end up paying the prices of waiting longer for a product as well as out of pocket.
Linux is good for some things....but not the game market.
