Who shoots IRL?

I used to shoot, casual just for fun when i was a kid in the mid 90's

Had a pump action .22 and semi auto .22, but after Howard banned the semi's i just fell out of it. Haven't done much since.
Getting a gun lic back then was a joke, i remember this one bloke couldn't answer the questions so they just pointed which boxes to tick lol

I don't know the questions nowdays but i failed one Which asked If you had a non trained shooter with you where would you place them in front , middle or back?
I said front ( like hell have some noob with a gun at my back ) but apparently it was in the back , argh they still game me a license tho.

No licenses for me, probably get around to getting one soonish. Go occasionally to the local range and do some pistol shoots there. Not often as it's really expensive.

I've wanted to get right into shooting for a while (Used to with the old man when I was younger) but between work and uni, there are just too many commitements at the moment to warrant getting right into it again.

Used to dabble with the over/under shotgun, and his old .303 rifle.

Once uni is finished I'll be getting back into the scene hopefully.

Me and my mates have got pretty big into shooting over the last few of years. We mainly shoot vermin, so wallabies, possums, roos and rabbits. A couple of us grew up on farms so we just do the rounds were we grew up shooting for people we know, old friends family's land and neighbors and the like. The vermin especially wallabies are a pest down here, a couple of us went last Sunday night and we got a touch over 40 kills in fact.

Havnt done any competition shooting, used to shoot birds on a vineyard but these days I am just a casual shooter that occasionally takes a gun out for a walk

I've got a mate who's big time into prac pistol/IPSC, his picture is in a few of the mags holding trophies, had a go of that a while back, might have to get me a Glock I think.

Competition shooting is good fun, I have introduced about a dozen members to my club including Lube who was not at all interested until he had a go.
I have this great clip of him firing the 6.5 for the first time, mildly hot load for effect, BOOM!! He turns around, spittle flying out of his gob, humongous grin, FK YEAH!!!GIMME ANOTHER ONE!!!!

I've sold all bar two of my guns, I've got a Stoeger coach gun, 12G and a Winchester 94 30-30 (it's my apocolypse gun).

At one point though I had almost 20 various hunting/military rifles.

Le sigh, I wish we had American gun laws. I'd CCW everywhere.

I shoot occasionally at the Franklin street indoor range here in Adelaide. I also go up on a hunting trip every year up to the flinders to shoot goats, roos and rabbits. I have shot quite a few different guns from pistols to shotguns to big bore rifles. I still dont own any though.

I am 19 now and still living at home but I will be getting my licence as soon as I move out of home.

I am a regular hunter of rabits, foxes and deer. I use a 303 mark111 litgow cut down sports rifle, .22 Winchester and a single shot shottie. My fav is my shottie lol. I can bring down a deer at 1km "Not bad for iron site 1942 303".

Been bow hunting once...keen to try a pistol range. If only for the coolness factor. I think I prefer bow hunting tbh, as it's more about patience and getting closer to your mark.

That said, I'm more of a sea hunter my preferred guns are a gidji and and a dive knife for abalone
