diamondd wrote:yeah, well they do have little red s icons to indicate that and if you try to buy stuff from the secret shop without being there it makes it very obvious that you're doing it wrong lol. Realistically though there are only like 10-12 items or something that you have to buy from the secret shop so it doesn't take long to get them down.

It again comes down to the issue of being easy to understand for newcomers. And so far the only things that i've seen that indicate what needs to be bought at the secret show are some dull red text in the item description that it needs to be bought there and the message that tells you about it after you try to 'do it wrong'.

It should be clearer on what needs to be bought at the secret shop. The secret shop should also probably only list the special items or perhaps the default window that opens only lists the special items. As it is it seems that special items are lumped in with every other item and that makes it difficult to sort things out (though i'm also finding the store in its entirety a bit messy in general but whether that's just because I don't understand it yet is still to be determined).

Or at the VERY least they need to make it that if you try to outright buy a special item you can just buy it rather than requiring all the items beforehand. Basically what happened was that I had Maybe 2/4 basic items that could upgrade to a special item but I had the gold to skip those items and outright buy the special item. I went to the secret shop and tried to buy the special item, the transaction went through but no special item. I then saw that one the other recipe items was in my 'stash' so I had to go down to main base and as soon as I got there my item went through and I got the special item. I simply should have gotten the special item as soon as I tried to outright buy it regardless of whether I had the basic items already.
*Insert negative stuff here.*

My iPad has REALLY come through for me these last two weeks. Sitting in a tiny private room in the hospital with wife and new bub could have been really difficult if it wasn't for my iThing.

e-Read my way (for the fifth time) through King's The Stand, and other equally apocalyptic novels Level 7 and The Long Walk.

Drop7 is the most addictive iPuzzler I've come across... really can't recommend it high enough. Top score so far is about 280,000.

Max Payne has been awesome, seriously the best action adventure iDevice game you can get. Crow is a really weird arse game, do not recommend.

Just installed GTA Chinatown Wars, Burnout Crash and Minecraft and to see out the rest. Thought about putting a deep RPG on there but it's probably a little too demanding given how tired I am.

Has anyone else been doing this dynamic Rakghoul world event on TOR?

The rakghoul plague has spread to Tatooine after a ship crashed in the Dune Sea. There's a whole bunch of new dailies regarding the outbreak, and three "infected" world bosses, Trapjaw, Urtagh the infected Bantha, and Zama Break at the Sarlacc Pit, defeating all three earns you a new title "Containment Officer"
There are two new vanity pets to unlock, a Crimson Rakling from doing the Track the Origin quest, and a Pale Rakling, bought from an NPC vendor nearby the crash site for 60 DNA samples.
There's also new crystals that can be bought from him for 80 samples, and a random infected companion customisation kit for 20 samples.

You can also get infected by the Rakghoul plague, and go through "stages" of infection. Once the infection takes hold, usually around 20 minutes, you start to turn into a rakghoul and then explode, covering everyone nearby with goo and infecting them, which subsequently is another daily quest, infect 10 people. When you explode you also earn 5 DNA samples used to buy the event items from the vender.
Steam: Shpleboy
Minecraft: LogicalHero
Battlefield 3: LogicalHero

What is 'The Long Walk' like Mellie? i have it in my book depository cart at the moment and still not sure. I'm a huge fan of the Stand (regardless of the ending). IT is still my favourite King Novel.

I have always struggled with Stephen King books that I've been given, i.e Cujo and IT - I wish I could enjoy him, maybe I haven't read the right book yet.

If you've read more than one of his books and didn't enjoy them.....why read any more of his books?....a glutton for punishment? :P

He's overrated anyway.

I remember reading an article in PC Gamer about that. The art style is great and the time manipulation mechanics seemed really impressive.

Can anyone recommend Kingdoms of Amalur? It's on steam sale today for 33% off, can pick up the special edition for $50ish.

Just can't make myself push on with The Witcher.
I get out of the swamp and back into town and just find myself thinking "Why do I even care?". I think it's just a poorly designed part of the game. Not only do they move the goal posts they more or less wipe out all the points you've scored up to that point. It's very much like the first half of the game never happened. And that's probably as far as I can push the sports analogy.
There's no real impetus to keep moving forward and no links to what you've just spent hours doing. It's such a massive slump that even this 4th time through knowing full well it's there I still can't bring myself to care enough to see what happens next.

If you've finished the swamps you've done the most tedious part of the game. I can't remember what plot points you are referring to and I don't want to guess and accidentally spoil something.
