Is it too much to ask to have things done properly? Its great that they listened to their audience, something most devs wouldn't do, so props to them for doing that. However, GFWL is such a terrible piece of software they've pretty much shot themselves in the foot. I'm sure with even a tiny amount of research into DRM software, they would have concluded that GFWL is an extremely unpopular option because of its invasive, counter-intuitive nature.

How does this demonstrate anything except laziness? You pretty much just proved our point. They picked the easier, cheaper option, instead of doing some work and making the game better. This is why people are complaining. Why bother doing it if you're not going to do it properly?

So if it is a lazy port, why should I buy it?

If you're unhappy about it speak with your wallet/petition... either that or cry on a forum that will get nothing done.

Why not both? I certainly won't be buying it now, and someone on the internet is wrong and I have to make them see it. The tears are streaming down my cheeks.

That's irrelevant. What he's saying is; what incentive is there for us to buy it? We're paying good money just to put up with an intrusive DRM system to play their game because they were lazy. It seems they're investing very little time or effort into this and they're clearly only doing it for their own profit. Which is fair enough since they're a business. However, they also have to look at it from our perspective and most buyers aren't going to buy a pile of ****. Unless they're retarded, I'm looking at you people that continue to buy Call of Duty every damned year. In which case, it'll have bad sales, they'll blame it on piracy and we'll never see a game from them again on PC. Which is a shame because I'd rather like to give it a go, but I refuse to purchase games that use GFWL.

I don't understand why they would choose one of the worst DRMs out there for this game we (PC gamers) have wanted for so long and to finally get it with GFWL tacked on to it its a real blow, almost all post I have seen on here and other forums I frequent are all saying that same thing.

for the love of god you listened to the PC community once, listen again as we are a vocal bunch and we know what is best for our platform and GFWL is not one of them.

(I really hope they listen again to there adoring fans)

Actually, not really the worst DRM. I've only had one game play up so far, out of the collection of games I've played that use GFWL. Although I guess compared to other games, that's actually not a good average. (never had a problem with any other DRM...)

Will be purchasing regardless of GFWL. Just think of it, you'll have twice the reason to scream at your computer now.

ITS **** DARK SOULS.

just on a side note - how is GFWL intrusive? Ive only used it for gta iv and dow 2. both times it was hit 'home' -> select account -> play game.

Wow, I'm in shock at how quickly devout PC gamers find something to complain about. You wanted this game on PC, hell you even made a petition for it because you're all "we'd buy your game if it was on PC". So they make it for you. **** they even give you content console players never got in the first place. NOW YOU'RE ALL COMPLAINING BECAUSE IT USES GFWL AND ARE SAYING YOU WONT BUY IT. I honestly hope they never do this for PC gamers again, you clearly don't deserve it.

Exactly! Excited to hear it has GFwL.

Although, the graphics will still look terrible so pretty sure i won't be arsed with playing it. Of all the people who gush about Dark Souls, I wonder how many have actually got even halfway through.
