I'm new to DOTA, and they weren't kidding about that learning cliff. I could always use some direction.

Practice. Then practice. Then practice.

The joys of Bot games is you can keep playing until you're well and truely comfy. If anything bot games are harder as they are MUCH more precise.

Bot games will teach you the basics of laning and the early game. Once you've got them under control then you can worry about all the complexities of the mid game and late game vs real people. Bots tend to do badly at the midgame/lategame.

I learnt by just playing with a mate who plays it to death haha, didn't take too long! The hardest thing to learn is countering other Heros...

Keen for the two latest Heros! Undying looks awesome and Disrupter looks like he can seriously nuke.
