So the "GoN is Changing" thread got my thinking that we haven't had a community event based around actual gaming in a long while.
I remember the good old days of Admins vs. Randoms in BF2 and the Starcraft II comp a while back was a great success.
What I'm thinking is organising an "Olympics" of sorts where we all pick/get drafted into teams (Games on Red / Games on Blue) and then compete across a range of games.
After the games are over the teams are issues points/medals that add to an overall leader board and when the Olypics is over one team reigns supreme!
My initial thinking is something along the lines of;
CSS
TF2
BF3
DoD:S
SCII
CoD4
Dirt 1/2/3 depending on which the majority has
C&C RA2/Generals depending on majority
Live For Speed
Quake Live
Soldat
League of Legends
...and basically whatever else can get enough numbers for the make it a legitimate competition.
This thread is just to gauge interest in the idea, if there's a decent number of people wanting to join in then I'll pursue it further.
