Had the most insane L4D2 session on The Parish tonight with some mates.

It was **** epic. In the end we restarted 5 times and played for 1 hour and 49 minutes, cleaving our way through this many zombies

Yep. Once I found out that it was made by the same studio responsible for Project Gotham Racing (not the best racing game ever but good enough) and had a Mario Kart style gameplay. I hope it's at least as good as Skydrift. I got a feeling it'll suit a controller more than a wheel though.

Just waiting for it to finish downloading...

Not sure what you mean by this, these were all minor races with little presence anyway. The Batarians were always going to be the first to go, their system was where the Reapers arrived. Besides, there were plenty of them in the shelters in the docks. The vorcha appeared in a side mission or two, not overly differant from ME2. The Yahg are a pre space flight species quaranteened to their homeworld, I'm surprised we saw them again. Hanar, Elcor and Keepers were always pretty minor.

The Batarians and Vorcha had an infinitely larger role in ME2 than they did in ME3. Usually you advance in a series, not go backwards. The Yahg in the Shadow Broker was suppose to be the species reveal. Why bother revealing them only to do nothing with them? And Elcor, Hanar and Keepers at least had some form of role in that they were actually around and could be talked to in ME1. In both ME2 and ME3 they were practically forgotten about. There's more to the galaxy than the handful of main species and that was what made the galaxy feel vast and mysterious.

That all out war storyline against the Reapers was a real mistake imo. They really limited themselves on what they could do exploration wise with that move.

There were quite a few that were my fault, but my mates did keep running in front of me while I was firing =P

The Batarians were all but wiped out. It was clear in the ME2 Arrival DLC that the Batarian systems were where the Reapers were going to arrive, hence they got the full force of the Reaper fleet and crumpled straight away. All that was left were stragglers and pirates pretty much.

The Vorcha made their first appearance on Omega in ME2. Yes they were less prevalant in ME3, but they're not really any more of a character than the varren "except that they can hold a weapon and don't **** on the floor as much".

ME3 had more interaction with the Hanar than ME2 did, and I only recall talking to 3 Hanar in the first ME. You might be right about the Elcor though, there were a few scattered through ME and ME2, but I only really recall seeing one in ME3. I don't remember speaking to any keepers in any ME though :P

I do think they could have done a lot more with the Rachni though. ME1 you choose whether or not to exterminate them, only to have to make that choise again in ME3 with little to no benifit or loss either way.

And with the Batarians I question why they decided to do such a thing. Just because there's an explanation as to why they were barely in the game doesn't mean it was right that was the case. Ditto for the Vorcha.

The Hanar were still meagly represented. I need to play again but i'm sure there was plenty more Hanar interaction in ME1.

And agreed about the Rachni. I had completely forgotten about them as they ended up being so irrelevant. -_-

Simply put they didn't plan this 'trilogy' at all which was why the first game was so adventurous as they had free reign on what to try and free reign to introduce this new galaxy to us.

No, I enjoyed it, I just think there are a few things that they should have thought about a bit more.

(especially the rachni, I didn't release them just to have to save their arses again)

It was ok but was blatantly the weakest in the series in a 'we dun goofed' sort of way.

Yeah i never actually finished it when i got it for some reason, and felt guilty. Playing as a Tremere this time, just finished Santa Monica. Also, the Ocean House.. man that was creepy, forgot all about that place.

Will do. I'm really liking it so far, playing as the Celts level 8 atm. Did you get the Skirmish pack?
