I'm with the exe3/Nekosan... what's wrong with it? Its simple, easy to follow and is very inviting to new members... really drives a community approach unlike other news sites (I.e. kotaku, game informer, gamespy...).

Hell, we only got this layout a couple of years ago - I hated it then, but it's grown on me.

Agreed, it doesn't need to be a 10MB page like IGN, but surely something simple yet slick would be a breath of fresh air.

I concur with avoiding rehashing news. While I did like the bit of GON spin, I'd rather more features than having Toby read the bad news each day. <3 You Tobes.

The changes sound great. Any chance some of the game server admins could do features on setting up the servers, configs & good server mods? Bit of a best practise for game servers?

Anyway keep up the great work and can't wait for the new changes.

Would also add that GON's current theme/web layout is fine. Clean, clutter free, and easy to navigate. Extremely hard to say about any given website these days..

Love the layout, its nice and clean so why change it. Looking forward to more feature articles, i really hope for tech reviews to come around again; sick of googling the latest tech pieces :P. Also mods, i love me the mods haha!

As for the quality of writing which others have commented on, i personally have not seen it at fault; nothing spectacular but this isn't the New York Times, more streamlined could only be more efficient.

Review scores i will also comment on for the sake of community opinion, although the number score has always been around and probably will be, a nice long article with a short good, bad and ugly i too think would be perfect.

More Features, More Often

We’re moving our resources away from news and into pumping out more of the features you love. Expect more reviews, more tech guides, more editorials, more tweak guides, more interviews and more in-depth analysis from some of the best writers around Australia.

This is the content that makes GON what it is, and we’re going to be pushing it out more often than ever before.

Hells yeah!

Can i make a small request though? Use the Hardware forum for hardware topics. So much hardware/tech related news gets posted in the general news forum while we have a dedicated hardware forum that never gets used.

Cheers! Great going guys :)

Could always make it look like gamespy... yaknow... everyone loves that site lol...

Layout is fine, just give a option for a widescreen version!
