^I love the original Total Recall - it's a classic. But even I admit that a movie from 1990 or earlier is about the time you can start looking at remakes. The effects were dodgy, and if the lead actor wasn't Arnie then it wouldn't be a funny B-grade movie, it would just be a steaming pile. It's only movies that came a year or two later like Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park that still stand up pretty well by modern effect standards.

Remaking SpiderMan or Fantastic Four is stupid, just for greed alone. But stuff like King Kong or Clash of the Titans? Yes, they badly needed refreshing.

Oh and just to change tack: this has J.Biel AND K.Beckinsale - happy days

So you think that Star Wars needs a remake?

Hmm I'm a huge Arnie fan, so I was against this to begin with.

Trailers/Teasers have changed my mind. Looks good for an action blast.

I tend agree with this. If it wasn't an Arnie movie it wouldn't even rate a mention really.

The trailer looks pretty good.

It looks alright. How close in story is it suppose to be to the Arnie movie? I haven't seen the original in ages but it seemed very different.

I don't know how I feel about this one...as a child of the 80's/90's, I feel this movie is kinda unnecessary. As long as they have the three-boob lady...

I'm sort of the same, remaking Total Recall is right up there with remaking Terminator 2, some things are meant to be sacred :hahaha:.
