I just realized, The Citadel is the ONLY peaceful hub location in all of ME3. Argh this game has truly forgotten that it's suppose to be an RPG.

Kinda like the first Matrix though, Mass Effect could have ended right there and been better off for it.
Nah. Mass Effect still had a greater overarching story to continue. Matrix on the other hand had pretty much finished the story it started. Simply put Matrix didn't need an ending to the war as the war was more a setting than the purpose of the story, unlike ME.

The writing quality for ME2 is off the scales but the actual scale of the story is tiny and adds almost nothing to the Reaper plot to the point you could argue it was just filler. Though it did expand the galaxy you were in.
The shooting mechanics were also improved a lot (still average by other standards) but that sacrificed a lot of the combat RPG mechanics.

Yeah that annoyed me to hell, was so glad when ME2 let you keep playing.
I very much look forward to restarting ME1 for a real RPG experience in this supposedly RPG series. Also can't wait to play with the Mako again. Don't know why but I pretty much ignored all the side quests in the first game. Case in point. Who's Conrad Verner?
AND STOP MAKING ME FEEL SO BAD FOR STILL NOT FINISHING WITCHER. T_T Last time I played I resques this barkeep woman and she wishes to 'thank' me at a windmill or something. Does the game remind you when timed quests are nearing their time to be performed? I think the idea of the timed quest rubbed me the wrong way.
