Hah, nice pick-up!

Yeah, MC is incredibly inspirational... I've been gaming for 30 years today (played my first game at the age of 5) and Minecraft and EVE are the only games to ever take my breath away with the worlds they create. When you consider that everything on the GoN server is built by hand, it's truly staggering the kind of complexity and architectural inventiveness you people display (and I don't care what ideas are taken from youtube, you still had to build it and shape it and colour it to your liking).

And because so much of it is a solo-effort, I'm so surprised when I read that some of you guys don't know what each other has built... surely you'd want to share?! Everyone should start teleporting to each other for guided tours.

Does everyone on the server hang out in Mumble? Would be great to be able to chat either to everyone or just to my mate Rhys on the same voice server.

There have been a few people interested in one of my main projects going on at the moment - DarkMellie earlier in the thread posted progress shots of the glass lava & water half sphere.

The glass half-sphere is 55 block diameter.
The observatory is nominally 46 block diameter at the entrance level.

Well, it's finished now, with an observatory on top, made from NetherBrick, NetherBrickFence, grey wool, and copious amounts of white wool.

Screenshots follow:

And finally, with the telescope installed:

Mellie: I can hop on Mumble sometime. I haven't been bothering with that sort of thing because no one else seems to.

I'd like to be the creator of amazing things in such a game, but I don't have any inspiration, nor do i have much patience. The tower near spawn was a collaborative effort with ZeroErrors.

Thankyou. The next time you're on, I'll give you a tour if you like.
