Mass Effect 3, The FPS

It’s probably not too surprising to hear that, at some stage, BioWare considered (or were corralled into) adding an FPS multiplayer component to [app=7843]Mass Effect 3[/app], called “Mass Effect Team Assault.” They got so far into it that many large shades of its development remain, and the following demo video of the mode in action has recently been unearthed by the interbuttle. Mass Effects one of those things that have evolved as consoles have evolved.

Originally designed as an RPG, as the FPS genre has taken off on the console in the current generatio,n the game has become aimed at that huge demographic as it's gone through it's releases.

I'm really sick of FPS, each new FPS that comes out its beating the dead horse, there is nothing new to them its just the same old "modern" formula. Things need a shake up. ever now and then you'll get a glimps of a good FPS like Serious Sam 3 or someone will make a new DooM WAD. and breathes new life into an amazing game but most FPS now are just "modern tactical shooters" no matter what they are skinned as this mass effect FPS just looks like COD only sci-fi...

Never played it myself but isn't serious sam just a game where you are in an arena with unlimited ammo, and you just shoot all the bad guys in waves?
