I dunno. First thing I think about when I hear 'Zombies in africa' is RE.

2nd is the movie 'The Dead'.

this will probably cause enough controversy to have this game 'tuned down' for us aussie players... making it yet another worthless horror that wont scare a 3 year old..

Should be safe, the new RE is set in China or something I think.

It probably won't be very scary or atmospheric as the single player ones regardless though.

Mind you I did get the fear in RE5 from those sneaky crocodiles for a bit. But that was mainly because you had to constantly look around you or get snapped up in one bite, plus the tense music. Wore off after a few run throughs though

What? Resident Evil 5 was developed and released in Australia years ago, and I don't think it was censored at all here.

Nevermind that the facts are rather distorted to fit the gaming theme. There is absolutely no mention of violent behaviour in the CNN story (which is where the source link brokenly points):

Thanks Mekon. I agree this is a tad close to being insensitive.

Perhaps it would've been more meaningful if the news article had some proper research to clarify the disease and it's consequences, before making the joke/link to gaming? But then, it wouldn't really be gaming news.
