Well if that isn’t the best headline you’ll read all week I don’t know what you’re reading, but it must be amazing. Two-time world Pookémon champion Ruben Puig Lecegui has been ceremonially stripped of his title at the United Kingdom Video Game Championship following a particularly odiferous scandal. Lecegui and his fellow team members have been accused of exiting their hotel rooms during the event – in order do poos in the establishment’s hallway.

Not sure where you gathered that factoid from... since when does any comp run events from hotel rooms? The incident occurred the night before his win.

In regards to the incident with the UK VGC...I was the guy who discovered the scene. The gaming media has stretched it somewhat - there was one (maybe two) pieces of poo, partially wrapped in toilet roll, in the hotel hallway. My older brother informed the staff and it was quickly removed. Considering the distance of where it was in comparison to the room, if it had been thrown there, it would have had to have come from the complete other side of their room (the rooms were fairly small).

People do this kind of thing all the time.. the state that some people leave motel rooms is disgusting, used condoms, ****, vomit, it's filthy.

I think you're misunderstanding whats being said or perhaps its ambiguous.

It doesn't mean while they were playing but while the EVENT was underway.
IE: they were in the hotel for the event, not some random hotel stay unrelated to the event.
