Let's Get Serious - Australian Servers/Guilds

I would really love for a server list to be released so that I can get a bit of structure and start recruiting again. 90 odd people in Australian Expeditionary Forces on jekk jekk tarr (sith side) asking whats going on is getting a bit old.

I'm in an Empire guild at the moment on Swiftsure, pretty sure they are transferring over to an Aus server. I don't play very often now though, still only have a lvl 30 bounty hunter.. but i'll definitely be transferring, also i'd rather join up with a GON guild anyway!

I'd be very keen, was playing on Swiftsure but a lot of my mates decided to stop playing any MMO after they were done with WoW so I stopped playing because the point of an MMO is to play with people haha (although this game does have an excellent SP experience to it.)
I'd be happy to play either Empire or Republic, more inclined to Empire, but the more than likely population imbalance would kind of make me want to play the Republic as well.

I'm also very keen on this, transferring my characters over the moment i can, but if theres a guild who would take my 2 mates and i that would be awesome.

Empire side, no republic scum here, preferably with some PVP involved, wouldnt mind an RP server as long as i didnt have to be in character 24/7.

Empire or Republic? OR both? We could have some type of cool sith jedi alliance.

My gut feeling is a true PvP server, as much as I would prefer a PvP-RP one .. the biggest concern is population.

HOWEVER

If we can just hold off for a day .. I'll be speaking to BioWare on Thursday and will be getting the lowdown on some information that may help figure out the best step forward.

So yes, do check the servers out when they're online, but try not to find a home *right* away.

What possible stuff will you talking about? While I do not doubt your computer wizardry Wyld, the games been out for sometime so I don't know what else could be happening.

Oh, no secrets as such ..

I'll be speaking with the lead dev for PvP and Flashpoints, and one of the issues I want to address is cross-realm PvP. *IF* it's a go, and soon, then moving to a PvP-RP server makes much more sense, as smaller populations won't be that much of an issue.

If it's still a way away, then it *IS* an issue, and I think a true PvP server is the best option.

We should also get a feel for the rest of AU and what they're shifting to maybe?

Hopefully the Aussie servers will have a good population.
The server I'm on is kinda dwindling. So hopefully they wont release HEAPS of servers. Maybe 1 for each type. It should suffice.

Asia pacific servers are there now, but are offline.

Most likely they will go live sometime tomorrow.

Here's our official launch timing. All servers will be online simultaneously at approx 5:01AM CST (Austin time), but with timezones straddling a date:

New Zealand: 12:01am NZDT (March 1st)
Australia: 10:01pm EDT (February 29th)
Singapore: 7:01pm SGT (February 29th)
Hong Kong: 7:01pm HKT (February 29th)

Transfer emails are being sent out after the official launch during the rest of the week.
Most of the Aussie guilds on Jekk'Jekk are moving to Balborra. I'd assume most of the Aussie guilds on Swiftsure would be moving to Master Dal'Nala as well anyway.

I won't be in server till the 3rd dammit. Maybe I can sneak onto a PC whilst at the event, fingers crossed. Need to reserve the names I want!

I actually might be interested in trying out a GON guild.
Prefer the RP server (I agree with the less idiots per capita inference) althouhg I am not fussed overall and will most likely just be continuing on my very low level Juggernaut.

P.S I have to admit I don't get being on an open world PvP server when everything is instance (plus I am sh*t at PvP anyway)
